CYCLE TIME , LEAD TIME AND TAKT TIME

  CYCLE TIME -                Cycle time is the total time from the beginning to the end of your process or actual time required for a worker to complete one cycle of his process or cycle time is the time from when the operation begins to the point of time at which the operation ends. LEAD TIME -  "Lead time clock start when the request is made and ends at delivery." Example - A customer Request their production on November 6, the company receives the order instantly and delivers the product  on November  10.He actually starts working on the product only from the 8.Therefore , the lead time here is 4 days while cycle time is 2 days. JIT(JUST IN TIME)

 What is the objective? To achieve zero inventory in APTICS dictionary. JIT is defined as," A philosophy of manufacturing based on elimination of all waste and continuous improvement of productivity."
